Miami Tarpon Fishing Report - March 21, 2021

Fishing for tarpon during the evening has been very consistent. Over the past week I've fished 5 trips, averaging between 2 - 5 tarpon each trip, except for one. Throw in a variety of other species: jack crevalle, mutton snappers, almaco jack, runners, and ladyfish to round out the trips.
Last night I was a part of a three boat bachelor party. A very fun group of guys who had not caught a tarpon. Within 5 minutes of putting out the baits, we got the strike we wanted while it was still daylight. More action with several of the species I mentioned above. The wind picked up and two drifts in a row we hooked up. Got the leader catch on one of the tarpon and cut off by the second one.
I have a few more tarpon trips coming up, so I hope to keep the good news coming.
